Boston four piece Model/Actriz released their second album six weeks after their astonishing single 'Cinderella'-would it live up to the hype created by this lead song-Hell Yeah!
This record is the sound of a band unfurling its wings and taking flight. It's a coming out story-that of singer Cole Haden. Cinderella itself is the tale of how he wanted a Cinderella theme for his 5th birthday but fear, even at that age, drove him to compromise, and so it goes on. Teenage crushes on other boys and personal struggles in early adulthood coated in a sea of something akin to Math Rock, Techno and House, even Cabaret and not a little Burial even.
